This training provides a thorough introduction to the treatment of compulsive pornography use, sex addiction, and the betrayal trauma induced by spouses or partners with compulsive sexual acting out behaviors.
Attendees will:
- Learn relevant statistics regarding the pornography industry
- Understand how regular exposure impacts attitudes, behavior and relationships
- Learn how family culture and social messages set the stage for sex addiction
- Learn how to diagnose sex addiction and identify essential treatment components
- Explore the connection between childhood trauma/experiences and sex addiction
- Learn about sexual addiction induced trauma/betrayal trauma and how relational an neurobiological disruption occurs
- Receive an introduction to the multidimensional trauma treatment model for partners
- Gain an overview of the important elements needed to build a partner recovery program
