Sky Ballinger, LPC
Master of Counseling
- Licensed Professional Counselor
- National Board Certified Counselor
Sky (she/her) received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Idaho, and her Master of Counseling degree from Idaho State University. She enjoys working with children, teenagers, and adults as they explore and process many of life’s difficulties. Sky has training in TFCBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and is experienced in working with individuals who have symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma. She has a particular focus in working with members of the LGBTQ+ community, and survivors of abuse. In her practice, Sky utilizes many different modalities, including play therapy, mindfulness, and a system’s perspective.
Sky believes all people are oriented toward growth, and that genuine connection and empathy bring about mental wellness. She works to create a safe space for her clients to talk through their struggles, while also acknowledging the impact of various systems in their lives. As a result, clients can create and expand upon meaning in their experiences and foster confidence in themselves.
To fill her cup, Sky enjoys spending time with her family (primarily her husband and their cat), watching scary movies, and jamming out to musical theater.
