Daniel graduated with his master’s degree from the University of Montana in 2015. Before attending graduate school, Daniel worked as a men’s health educator and an outdoor educator. Daniel brings his experience as an educator into his work as a counselor through a “whole person” approach to counseling which emphasizes personal empowerment, autonomy and power to enact change. Daniel enjoys working with all types of people, experiencing all types of life challenges, but has specific experience and training in working with men, adolescents, and gender/sexually diverse individuals.
Daniel believes that the key to mental wellness is connection; connection to our current self and past self, connection to our intimate partners, connection to our communities, connection to our friends and family, connection to our spirituality, and connection to our surroundings. When we feel most disconnected is when we are at our most vulnerable. Counseling is another means of connection that can help bring us closer to living the life we most want; a fulfilling life of purpose and meaning.
